How to Add links to WordPress Blog in Urdu?

The first video tutorial is about adding sidebar links or blogroll links to your blog hosted on WordPress. The video tutorial is in Urdu language and you can easily understand what I am teaching you. Adding links to WP blog is so easy, you just need to click on the widget at left side bar of your WP dashboard, then you add links along with each link's description and title. You can add links as long as you want. Also you can remove the default existing links and the new links you have added. 

How to Change WordPress site Theme in Urdu?

This is second video tutorial in Urdu, in which you will learn how to change the Theme/template of WordPress website. Changing WP site template is also easy process and you can find a number of free themes in WP gallery. At left sidebar of your WP dashboard you can click on appearance >> Theme and then you can select or search themes. If you want to search for more themes then just do a search on Google with this keyword "Free WordPress Themes" and you will find tons of free themes.

How to Add video to WordPress site post in Urdu?

In blogger it is easy to include a video inside post directly from youtube. You just need to embed the video code from Youtube and paste it inside post body in Blogger. in WP it is the same process as blogger, but in WP you will see the video after publishing the post. However, in blogger you can see the video preview in the post body as well. So just go to Youtube and find the video you want to include inside your post on WP and click the share option then embed and copy the code. and paste that code inside the post where you want to appear the video. That's all.

YouTube Will be Reopened in Pakistan Soon | Rehman Malik

The most popular video sharing website YouTube is about to be unblocked in Pakistan, hints, Rehman Malik; the home minister of Pakistan. The website was blocked due to an Anti-Islamic video clip was uploaded toYouTube on 9th of the September for the first time. The video clip sparked the Islamic world and big protests took place all across the Muslim world. Initially  Afghanistan blocked the website in order to restrict the access to the video clip and later on; Sudan, Iran and Bangladesh joined Afghanistan. On 18th of the September, Pakistan's telecommunication authority PTA blocked the entire video sharing website in Pakistan. Thus, The website is no longer accessible since 18th of the September. However, all the advance users of YouTube open it with different proxy software and do their activities on YT. Almost, one and half month has been passed, but the website is still banned in Pakistan.

Why was YouTube banned in Pakistan?

As told, YouTube was banned due to a film which disrespected the Prophet Muhammad (S.W.A.W) and sparked the Muslim world. Therefore, firstly, Pakistan's government requested Google to down the video from the website or at least restrict it from being viewed by Pakistan users. But Google's reply was; the company has not yet been localized in Pakistan, therefore, the content can neither be restricted nor removed. In compulsion,  Pakistan's prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf ordered PTA to block the website in Pakistan. Earlier, the decision was also taken by supreme court of Pakistan.

However, the website is being viewed as normal in many other Muslim countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and India etc. Because their request for the removal of that video was accepted by Google and the video was restricted in above listed countries. 

YouTube will be unblocked in Pakistan

Now the final part of this article should be read carefully; Mr. Rehman Malik who is a very popular personality in Pakistan. He recently [on 27th October] hints about the unblocking process of YouTube. He told the media that; he received many abuses from the people on his Twitter account, and many of them were asking for unblocking YouTube in Pakistan. He hints, website will be reopened soon, but before that the objected videos will either be restricted or removed by PTA.

He added, he would discuss unblocking YouTube in the next cabinet meetings with other officials. He moreover said, the YouTube is a worth visiting website and can be beneficial for young generation. He promised to talk about this issue sooner, but he also declared that, the website may be reopened but after access to Anti-Islamic video has been restricted.

CSS Vertical "Navigation" Menus For Blogger & Websites

Just Two days ago, I shared a collection of horizontal CSS menus for blogs and websites with you. Today, I would like to share CSS vertical menus collection with you. As you might know, CSS menus look great in a website. There are many benefits of using menus in a blog or website; the first benefit of using a CSS menu is: it attracts the visitors to click on the links inside the menu and the second benefit is: the menus are faster in loading, they don't take much time to load in all browsers, Because with css you make the menus more readable for the browser. The css codes are just called in HTML page by a class or an ID selector. So, within just one word you can call them to be appeared on your blog. We will keep sharing CSS menus with you because there are thousands of stylish menus are there with different looks. We will also share a collection of drop down menus with you in our coming posts.

How to add CSS vertical menus to blog or website?

The procedure of adding any css menu to your blogger blog or website is quite simple and can be done within few steps. The menus we are sharing today are created with CSS and HTML. You can copy the entire code from the text box below in the list. And then go to your Blogger dashboard >> Layout >> Add a Gadget and paste the code inside that. Save the widget and view your blog to see the new added menu.

After adding the code into an HTML/JavaScript in blogger you can customize the menu by yourself; for changing the links and anchor texts to your own just find below piece of code in the menu:

All the links are inside the ul tag, so replace each (#) sign with your link and the text i.e About, Home, Services etc with your own anchor text. Save the widget and check the result by viewing your blog. All the CSS properties and values can also be customized according to your needs.

CSS Custumization

You can do some customization in above CSS as you want, to change the color of a link simply replace any of your choice with blue color code. To change the background of any link replace red color code with yours. To change the background color of a:hover simply replace the green code with your own color. Also you can change the top level menu color by changing Pink code color with your own.

You can change the anchor text with your own text and the link sign "#" with your own link address. Also this is a single drop down menu. If you want to make more menus then simply copy the code from <ul> to </ul> and paste it as far as you want. But you should paste the code within <div> tag and before <br class="clearFloat">.

How to Check Page Rank & Alexa Rank of a Website?

Alexa Rank and Page rank are two important factors of a website; that are mostly considered by advertisers who want to advertise their product on a website. They check whether the site's Alexa ranking is good or not? and has better PR or not. Alexa ranking defends on your website/blog traffic. If a website is getting good traffic every day from search engines and other sources then the chances of good Alexa ranking is high, Alexa rank is given by alexa.com itself. However, Page Rank is given by Google and it totally defends on the backlinks you've for your website. Backlinks are basically those links out side your website on the web. The high number of backlinks can result a Good Page rank for your blog. PR is given in a numeric format and it is  out of 10/10. You may get 1/10, 2/10, 3/10, 4/10 or something like that. PR and alexa rank can affect your search engine ranking. 

How to check Alexa Rank of a website?

Here is some steps for checking alexa ranking of any website. 

Step # 1. Go to Alexa.com and you will see following interface of alexa which is showing in picture below. Just enter your website or blog address in the search box as I've entered  and click the search button. You can enter a URL without HTTP or www.

Step # 2. Now you will see this screen shoot below, Alexa traffic rank is showing and regional rank is also showing in the picture also site links are showing. But if you want to get the complete detail of this site then click the "Get Details" button and you will be redirected to another page.

Now you can see the complete details of . there is a statistics summary for which shows the statistical traffic information. And alexa traffic rank means; the Global world wide traffic for this blog. Rank in PK which shows "1231" means the ranking of this blog in a specific country where its most visitors are located. In my case, it is Pakistan where my blog is visited mostly. 

Reputation means, how many backlinks you have for your website on the web. as of now, I have 77 backlinks for my blog. And in last, there are 6 reviews, reviews are from visitors who visited this site and wrote a review on Alexa; it can also help in increasing alexa ranking.

How to Check Page Rank of a Website?

Now if you want to check the Page rank of any website then simply go to this website:  you will see a box contain http:// so there you will have to enter any website or web page address and hit Check PR button. See picture below for example:

After clicking the Check PR button you will have to enter Anti-bot code which is just for stop spamming purpose. Enter the random code in the box and click Verify now button.

Now finally you will see this image showing Page Rank of a website. You can enter anyone's website or blog on this website and check the page rank. You can add their button to your blog for showing that you've a good Google Page Rank.

Submit Blogger Sitemap to Google

In order to increase your blog traffic from search engines, you must consider submitting a sitemap to Google. For blogger blogs. it is very easy to generate a sitemap and send it to Google webmaster tools. If you have just started a new blog with Blogger.com then work on it and after posting some great content submit its sitemap to Google for indexation of all of your pages and content. Don't be late on this, because you don't know how important sitemaps are for Google crawler. And submitting sitemaps is also the part of Off-page SEO.

If you have an old blog which is having a large number of posts/pages i.e more than 500 then you should generate multiple sitemaps for your blog and submit them to Google. Now just follow given steps below and instantly submit your blogger sitemap to Google in minutes. In this tutorial we won't use any Google Sitemap Generator.

How to Submit Blog sitemap to Google?

In order to submit your Blog's sitemap to Google first log-in to your Google webmaster account by using your Gmail id. In most cases, all Google accounts are associated with one Gmail ID including Blogger, Feedburner, Youtube, Google Plus etc. After signing to your Webmaster account you will see following snap shoot: 

Just click any of your blog which's sitemap you want to submit to Google. After clicking any blog you will see a dashboard as showing in below image: 

In image above you can see a red zone where under the optimization tab a sitemap link is located, so you will just click that link and a page like below image will appear:

Now in my case, I've submitted my sitemap to Google for this blog, but if you haven't submitted yet then this area will be empty. So if you consider the read rectangle at left side of the above image where it says [add/test sitemap] just click that button and a box will appear like below image:

Now after reaching here; just copy below code and paste it into above box. If you want to test the sitemap then click test sitemap or simply click the submit button:

Just refresh the page and CONGRATULATION! you've successfully subitted your blog's sitemap to Google.

Note: The above sitemap is for up to 500 posts, so if you've more posts then 500 published on your blog then just copy below two lines and paste it on that text box and add it twice.

21 Important SEO Tips | Components

You mightn't be agree with me, but I finally realized that SEO is not such complicated as bloggers have been explaining it. According to my continue research on SEO for last 2 years and my own testing, I can say that it is just a technique to know the Search Engines' bots algorithms and criteria properly. There aren't anything hidden in this. Search engines like Google itself has stated many times the best practices of SEO on their help pages. One can visit Google's own sites and within 10 minutes can clear his/her concept about SEO.

I researched a lot about SEO since 2010 and wherever I go for reading articles on this topic; I found them confusing people with extra ordinary tips. However, there has been many guys who are genuine Optimizers like Mustafa Ahmedzai and Harsh Agarwal. But all are not like them; even some webmasters are just don't know how to optimize their own blog/site, but giving people tips on SEO. Thereby, I became confused with SEO in entire 2010 year. Now here is a question that What Search Engine Optimization Basically is? well, a great question I've been asked many times. Find a simple answer to this question in my next paragraph.

From my prospective, SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a technique/process that is used to convince the Search Engine's Spiders to index and rank your online content. As Search engines crawlers are just software not human, but to know about them you can read their coding/formulas. Now here I want to let you know about the 21 basic aspects of SEO. So make sure you remember them and use them in the future for explaining SEO to someone. 

1. What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it was initially used in 1990s for finding better webpages by Search Engines, but after Google's invention, it opened the eyes of webmasters.

2. On-Page SEO

On-page SEO simply means, the work you do within your website for SEO is called On-page i.e website design, navigation, Pagelayout, interlinking, titles, meta tags, headings etc. 

3. Off-Page SEO

Off-Page SEO simply means, the work you do outside your website for SEO is called off-page i.e submitting site to search engines, sitemaps, backlinks, social bookmarking etc.

4. Title Tags

The title tag is the  most important SEO component which is used for giving a title to a webpage. It is simply an HTML tag.

5. Meta Tags

Meta tags are special/reserved HTML tags that are used to describe the content of a webpage. These tags are commonly used in SEO terms. Usually, meta tags are: Description, Keywords, Author, Robots, Generator. And they are used in the head section of a webpage. 

6. Headings

Headings are also important components of SEO, a webpage may be having many paragraphs, so for each paragraph we can use different headings. Always sorting for Headings is follow: H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6. 

7. Keywords 

The special/reserved words that describe the whole page is called keyword or keywords. They are mostly included in the title tag and used again and again in the entire page. 

8. Keyword Density

The limit of a keyword in a complete article is called Keyword density. The maximum keyword density is 5% percent for the whole page. So if you write an article of 500 words the keyword may be included 25 times but not more than that. 

9. Keyword Stuffing & Cloaking

This is a black hat SEO technique which is no longer accepted by Search Engines. This technique is used to cheat search engine crawler; by using this technique some webmasters include a huge number of keywords in meta tags or in the page. Also they use different techniques to deceive visitors as well as search engines i.e hiding the original text from the user or positioning it somewhere, where it can't be seen by human eyes.

10. Robots, Spiders & Crawlers

11. Interlinking 

Interlinking is a technique which is used to create links within a website with particular pages.

12. External Linking 

This is a technique that is used to insert external links in a webpage, these links are indicating to other websites. If the links are not kept Nofollow then they are crawled by search engine robots.

13. Inbound links

Inbound links are those links that are outside your website on the web, but linking back to you. It is an indication for search engines that your site has been also somewhere else.

14. Outbound Links

Outbound links are those links that are going outside from your website. If they are not kept Nofollow they can be crawled by Search Engines crawlers.

15. Backlinks

Backlinks are those links which are outside your website but indicating back to your website. Those links with Dofollow attribution are called Backlinks. The other are just outbound links.

16. Nofollow

It is an attribute that tells the search engine crawler not to follow a particular page or link. So if a website dosn't want to index a webpage or link, simply a nofollow attribute is added. 

17. Dofollow

Dofollow is an attribute that tells the search engine crawler to follow the webpage or link entirely. By default all links are dofollow if they are not changed.

18. No Index

No Index is another attribute that instructs the crawler to not index the webpage. The link can be followed but the content won't be indexed.

19. Sitemaps

Sitemaps are the best way to tell the search engines about your site's complete A to Z content. It is essential for driving massive traffic from search engines.

20. Robot.TXT

This is simply a text file that is kept in the root directory of a website, it instructs the search engine crawler about the restricted webpages or directories which shouldn't be accessed by them.
