ONLINE EARNING: April 2013

This is a quick update from Adsense team for all YouTube partners who are using Adsense for monetizing their videos on YouTube.com. YT has a partner program similar like Adsense which can be used for monetizing your videos on YT. One can also integrate Adsense account with YouTube to earn money from his/her videos. Before 1st April 2013, the earning from YouTube videos used to display directly in Adsense account, and all YT partners and publishers could see each video impression and click straight in their Adsense account. But from 1st April 2013 onwards, Adsense transferred the control to YouTube analytics which is now responsible for showing all your earning, clicks etc. I recently received some emails and messages from YT partners who are using Adsense on their YT videos. They were asking that their earning is not shown in Adsense since 1st April, and I replied them to not worry about this issue, because something was going on Adsense's side I guessed.

Now here is the official update from Adsense's blog, they have stated in a recent post that the earning from YouTube videos will now be directly displayed in YouTube Analytics. So you should now check your every days' earning in your YT analytics.

What can you see now in your Adsense account?

Moreover Adsense team stated that the payment will be posted as same as it was before. And you'll be able to see your upcoming Adsense payments in your GA account, however, only earning reports and clicks will be displayed in your YouTube analytics.

You'll still be able to see your upcoming payments in your GA account and will also be able to see all reports in your account including earning from YouTube videos .

Why Adsense Team Did this?

As stated in Adsense statement on their blog, YouTube has super improved its Analytics and therefore, the Adsense earning on YouTube videos will be now calculated by the YouTube's team themselves. So this step is taken to monitor the clicks more deeply in order to make the partners financially more stronger. The Adsense blog post can also be read here:

Blogger New Edit HTML Interface in Urdu - Video Tutorial

This is a quick update about Blogger New improvements to Edit HTML page . The Edit HTML page has been completely changed by blogger developer team and now the older page has gone. The new page has many features such as editing the template, formatting the template, Jump to a particular Widget and many more. Line numbers are also available in the coding sectoin. Many of you may love this new interface while many might be in troubels due to the sudden changes. However, I really liked the features such as jumping to a widget directly and lining numbers. Also you can expand/minimize each widget's code and can edit/modify wherever you want. But the most important issues to be resoluved are; You can't now directly find the CSS codes of the template as well as the <data:post.body> XML tag. So having them in mind I've recorded a quick video tutorial which will clear your confustions. Let's start.

How to find CSS codes in Blogger New Edit HTML Page?

To find the CSS section of your template you'd need to find the <b:skin></b:skin> tags inside your template and just click the >> arrow next to the tags at left side or you may simply click the </b:skin> tag to expand the CSS codes. This is simple and easy but funny as well.

How to Find <data:post.body> tag in new HTML page?

Before we used to insert third party widgets or anything we'd like to show after the post titles or below the posts in Blogger, we always had to tick the (Expand Widget Templates) option and had to find the XML code <data:post.body>, so we could insert anything above <data:post.body> or below <data::post.body>, but now the problem is; you can not directly find that code in blogger new edit HTML internface.

For finding out the <data:post.body> tag, you'll need to use Jump Widget option, and click the "Blog1" to reach the codes of "Post Body" after reaching "Post Body" you'll need to click on "post" or "var='post'" line which is located under the "Blog Posts" widget.
